So, you just got engaged. You have announced it to all your friends and family. The first thing everyone seems to ask is "When's the wedding?" As if you have had time to breathe, much less pick your wedding date and book the venue. Once, you spend a couple of weeks taking it all in and really enjoying that moment, you finally get a moment to think about that question a little more.
Radiant Orchid! It is such a stunning and vibrant shade of purple I know it will be a big hit for Spring and Summer and maybe even Fall. Emerald green was the 2013 color of the year and its rich shade was perfect for other trends amongst the industry. Radiant Orchid is a perfect color to follow Emerald especially since they are on completely different scales of the spectrum. I see Radiant Orchid being a new staple for all events; Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Birthday’s, Launch Parties, and major corporate/brand events. Something about it exudes new life and a fresh start.

I love engagements and again I feel like people don’t put enough emphasis on them. The link below is to a 27 minute video of what I consider to be the best engagement I’ve seen to date. This young man Justin put so much effort into making the proposal so specific, so special, and so personal to himself and his girlfriend. His proposal in my opinion had everything that a proposal should have; family, creativity, hilarity, specific touches, the fact that he still went and asked her father for her hand in marriage even though he is deceased (who does that!?), and of course he captured the moment. He really took proposals to a whole new level and though each couple does what they feel is the most special to their relationship, I think we could do better out there. Don’t rush to the wedding, enjoy each step as a couple and really take the time to enjoy the moments that come with being engaged. 27 minutes may be a long time to sit and watch a video about someone else’s proposal but it is far more entertaining then you may think. Take a look!
Engagements. My generation is starting to get engaged and married and I think people are so anxious for the wedding they don’t get to fully enjoy the engagement. The parties, the pictures, the moment and joy of being engaged and of course you can’t forget the engagement itself. Always make sure her nails are done before and that you have someone capture the moment. Check out this adorable proposal via TheKnot.com.
Make your engagement special and unique to your relationship; think outside of the box do things that you know she would love. Get inspired.
Sweetheart tables have come a long way over the years. Instead of doing a small individual table for the bridge and groom most of us are used to seeing the long table that includes the bridal party, which is still being done. Brides today have opted to do something different, they have chosen a smaller more personal take on the sweetheart table. Continue reading
